05:30 PM - 07:00 PM Eastern Standard Time

Come join your fellow PAEP, SWEP, and WTS members on Thursday, June 2, 2016 for a free presentation on Lyme Disease Awareness and Education Prevention Program by Eric Huck of the Harrisburg Area Lyme Disease Support Group.

Each year, more than 300,000 cases of Lyme disease are reported to the CDC, making it the most commonly reported tick-borne illness in the United States. The new estimate suggests that the total number of people diagnosed with Lyme disease is roughly ten times higher than the yearly reported number.

The state of Pennsylvania has led the nation with the highest Lyme disease case counts for the past five years. Since reporting the disease began in 1982, the number of annual reported Lyme disease cases has increased approximately 25-fold.

This will be a free event, sponsored by Pennoni, PAEP Central Section, SWEP, and WTS Central PA. However, an RSVP is required, as light refreshments will be provided. As always, donations to organizational scholarship funds are welcome and greatly appreciated!
