November 11, 2014 08:34 AM

This is Part Two of a the WTS-Boston Newsletter Article on the WTS-Boston Leadership Forum

On Tuesday October 7, 2014 WTS-Boston welcomed guests to the first ever WTS-Boston Leadership Forum. This forum on How to Make Faster, Smarter, and More Informed Decisions was provided due to the generosity of WTS-Boston sponsors. http://www.wtsinternational.org/boston/

This half-day training was attended by members of our sponsor organizations, chapter leadership, and chapter members.

Shelley Row, P.E., PTOE founded Shelley Row Associates LLC following a distinguished 30-year transportation career including more than 20 years with the U.S. Department of Transportation.  She worked as a transportation engineer in Texas, California, Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia during the 1996 Olympic Games. She finished her federal career in the Senior Executive Service as the Director of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office. Shelley is widely-known within the transportation community for her leadership and vision.

Today, Shelley is a sought-after speaker and coach who works with managers and leaders who must make fast, insightful decisions in the face of rapid change when data alone is not enough. Her one-of-a-kind programs are supported by original research from interviews with 75 leaders on the role of intuition in leadership. Her presentation on Infotuition - Make Faster, Smarter, More Insightful Decisions engaged the audience. Her real world experience in leadership and management paired well with information on neuroscience and the challenges leaders face when making difficult decisions with incomplete information.

Shelley is the author of several books and numerous publications. She is a member of WTS International, and is a registered Professional Transportation Operations Engineer. Shelley was recognized as the 2014 Member of the Year by National Speaker Association in Washington, D.C.
