WTS-Boston is pleased to announce our 2018 Chapter Scholarship recipients

WTS-Boston seeks to recognize the best and brightest women seeking careers in transportation. The WTS-Boston chapter is awarding $14,000 in scholarships this year. The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation involvement and goals, job skills, and academic record.  WTS-Boston is pleased to announce the following local scholarship winners who will receive recognition at the WTS-Boston June Scholarship and Awards Dinner.

Jacquelyn R. Smith Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship

Lindsay Cullen, University of Rhode Island

Ann Hershfang Graduate Scholarship

Monique Stinson, MIT

WTS-Boston Member Graduate Scholarship

Sayeeda Ayaz, UMass-Amherst

Transportation YOU Scholarship

Emma Weston, Reading Memorial High School

 

 

The WTS Foundation awards $50,000 in scholarships to women who are pursuing careers in transportation through undergraduate and graduate programs. As with local chapter scholarships, the WTS Foundation scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation goals, academic record and transportation-related activities or job skills. Local chapters submit their nominations for consideration to a Selection Committee composed of Foundation Board members.  Following are the Boston Chapter applicants who were selected for consideration as part of the WTS Foundation scholarship award process, which is currently on-going.  Please join us in congratulating these accomplished women.

Sharon D. Banks Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship

These scholarships give WTS-Boston the chance to both distinguish the accomplishments of these individuals and to promote women to pursue careers in transportation.
