WTSDiversity

The U.S. DOT/Volpe Center team includes a diverse group of staff representing 3 technical divisions and Volpe’s Human Resources Office. Together, the group of five woman created a new approach to recruitment that was both innovative and impactful. During the latest college career fair campaign in the fall of 2016, the team collaborated to seek ways to build on traditional outreach approaches with the purpose to reaching more diverse groups of candidates. They outlined strategies for various groups within the Volpe Center, including the Human Resources team and multiple technical centers, to target candidates from more diverse backgrounds and encourage them to seek employment at the Volpe Center.
