WTS-Boston congratulates Ali Love on being selected 2017 Member of the Year!

May 8, 2017 11:00 AM

Ali Love
Structural Engineer
STV Incorporated

Ali Love is currently serving her fourth year as WTS-Boston Outreach Committee co-chair, where she has worked toward the expansion and sustainability of the local Transportation YOU program, which is part of the WTS International Transportation YOU initiative that started in 2010. The program works with middle school and high school girls to introduce students to the wonderful world of transportation and encourage them to fuel their interests in science and math.

Ali is proud to have formed partnerships with local schools and created programs that can be repeated each year to reach the next generation of women transportation professionals and leaders. In addition to working with specific partner schools, Ali and the Outreach committee have continued to volunteer at local STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) events, where the volunteers run hands-on activities with the hundreds of students that attend each event. The committee is also in the planning stages for a new program, which will be a one day transportation summit open to all middle and high school girls. This vision is only possible because of the tremendous dedication and efforts of the numerous committee members and volunteers that dedicate their time and energy to ensuring the success of the committee and the Transportation YOU program.

Ali is a structural engineer at STV Incorporated, where she has spent much of her career working on the Longfellow Bridge rehabilitation project. She holds an M.S. in Structural Engineering from Northeastern University and a B.S. from Cornell University.
