This May, the 2017 WTS International Annual Conference was held in Brooklyn, New York. As the 2017 Emerging Professionals, we had the opportunity to attend and network with our peers in the industry. The chance to connect with other WTS chapters on this scale comes only once a year, and 40 members represented WTS-Boston with pride among the more than 700 attendees present. The U.S. DOT/Volpe Center team includes a diverse group of staff representing 3 technical divisions and Volpe’s Human Resources Office. Together, the group of five woman created a new approach to recruitment that was both innovative and impactful.

WTS-Boston congratulates Ellen DeNooyer on being selected for the 2017 Innovative Transportation Solutions Award

Ellen DeNooyer is a licensed architect with over 25 years of experience in the management of complex projects, including large transportation, institutional and commercial projects in New Eng-land, New York, and overseas. She is a Senior Project Manager with a focus on Transit-Oriented Development projects at the MBTA’s Capital Delivery Department. Ellen joined the MBTA after over 20 years of leading design teams for A/E consulting firms.
