WTS-Boston Emerging Professional Program

The WTS-Boston Program for Emerging Professional Women provides up to two annual awards to the WTS-Boston community. Eligible applicants must work in a transportation-related career and not be eligible to receive reimbursement from their employer for WTS membership expenses. Applicants should have no more than 5 years of full-time post-graduate professional experience in the transportation field.

2017 WTS Summer Tour

On July 20, 2017, WTS-Boston received an exclusive sneak peak of the new Ink Underground Park. During the tour, Mr. Kirk Jackson, Assistant Secretary for the Office of Real Estate & Asset Management of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), spoke about how MassDOT partnered with National Development to bring the park from a concept to reality.

The WTS Boston 2017 May Mixer was hosted by the Membership Committee on the patio at Tia’s Waterfront in Boston.


2017 Awards and Scholarship Dinner

On June 14th, honored guests, members, and friends of WTS-Boston gathered for a festive dinner to celebrate the 2017 Award and Scholarship winners. The lineup for both categories was impressive and the Seaport Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for the evening, with a fantastic view of Boston Harbor and its location in the up and coming Seaport District.


WTS TED Talk Event "Dare to Disagree"

On June 28, 2017, 22 attendees gathered at the WSP USA office in Boston for a viewing of the TED Talk “Dare to Disagree” by Margaret Heffernan, author and management thinker, and a discussion facilitated by Margaret O’Meara, Vice President and Northeast Client Services Leader at WSP USA.
