2018 WTS-Boston September Luncheon Recap

On September 19th, WTS Boston welcomed New Hampshire DOT Commissioner Victoria Sheehan to talk about “Today, Tomorrow and Forever - New Hampshire’s Transportation Infrastructure.” Sheehan noted that New Hampshire faces transportation issues similar to those in the Commonwealth, as well as its own challenges and opportunities.

WTS TED Talk Event: “The Career Advice You Probably Didn’t Get”

On July 10th, 20 attendees gathered at HDR’s office in Boston for a TED Talk viewing and discussion facilitated by Loretta Girard Doughty, P.E., Transportation Program Manager for the New England Region at HDR. The WTS-Boston Mentoring Committee organized the event and selected the TED Talk “The Career Advice You Probably Didn’t Get” by Susan Colantuono, CEO and founder of Leading Women.

2019 WTS-Boston Mentoring Program

WTS-Boston is starting a new mentoring program in January 2019. This program will match seasoned leaders in the transportation industry with emerging professionals in mentor-mentee pairs for a six-month program. We strongly encourage participation from both mentors and mentees in the inaugural year.​

2019 WTS-Boston Emerging Professional Program

The WTS-Boston Program for Emerging Professional Women provides up to two annual awards to the WTS-Boston community. Eligible applicants must work in a transportation-related career and not be eligible to receive reimbursement from their employer for WTS membership expenses. Applicants should have no more than 5 years of full-time post-graduate professional experience in the transportation field.
