WTS-Boston Emerging Professional Program

The WTS-Boston Program for Emerging Professional Women provides up to two annual awards to the WTS-Boston community. Eligible applicants must work in a transportation-related career and not be eligible to receive reimbursement from their employer for WTS membership expenses. Applicants should have no more than 5 years of full-time post-graduate professional experience in the transportation field.

2017 WTS Summer Tour

On July 20, 2017, WTS-Boston received an exclusive sneak peak of the new Ink Underground Park. A native of South Boston, Tom Tinlin came to MassDOT in January of 2014 after being the longest serving Commissioner of the Boston Transportation Department in the City's history, under the longest serving Mayor of Boston, Tom Menino. By September 2015 he was appointed Highway Administrator by Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollack, becoming the top Highway official in the Commonwealth.

Massachusetts Department Of Transportation Highway Division - A Look Into 2016

On November 17, 2015, Thomas Tinlin, MassDOT Highway Administrator, shared his vision for the future of MassDOT’s Highway Division. Administrator Tinlin also identified the top three challenges for MassDOT - urban congestion, state of good repair, and funding.
