Kelly McGonagle, the Skanska McCourt JV Project Manager for the I-90 Toll Plaza Demolition at Interchanges 9-13 Project, led this complex, heavy civil transportation project to a successful, early completion while being recognized by her peers and the project owner for exemplary leadership.

WTS-Boston congratulates Monica G. Tibbits-Nutt on being selected for the 2018 Rosa Parks Diversity Leadership Award!

Monica G. Tibbits-Nutt is the Executive Director of 128 Business Council where she has worked since 2010, advising communities in the 128 Corridor in transit planning and overseeing the operation of 12 shuttle routes with nearly half a million in annual ridership.


2018 March Luncheon Seminar Recap

On March 22, 2018, Massport Port Director Lisa Wieland provided WTS-Boston luncheon attendees with an update on the exciting activity in the Port of Boston. As an added bonus, Lisa was introduced by Anne Aylward, Director of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. Anne previously served as the Director of the Port of Boston for Massport, and was the first woman elected to chair the American Association of Port Authorities.


WTS-Boston congratulates Laurie Carlson on being selected the 2018 Member of the Year!

Laurie Carlson embodies dedication to public service both professionally and personally. Laurie Carlson has been an active member of WTS-Boston since 2014. She has served as Co-Chair on both the WTS-Boston Programs Committee and is currently serving her second year on the WTS-Boston Membership Committee. Laurie regularly attends WTS-Boston events, trainings, and round table discussions.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is an integrated, multi-modal transportation agency composed of Highway, Rail and Transit, and Aeronautics Divisions, as well as a Registry of Motor Vehicles. The Department of Transportation is led by Secretary and CEO Stephanie Pollack, who also sits on the Board of the Massachusetts Port Authority. Pollack has been Secretary of Transportation and CEO of MassDOT since 2015.

Lori Chicoyne has recently joined BSC Companies, Inc. as Director of Client Development. A newly created position, Lori works closely with BSC’s client management team to support existing clients and develop new relationships. Remembering Nikki Tishler, 2018 WTS-Boston Emerging Professional

Sadly, one of our 2018 WTS-Boston Emerging Professionals passed away after a brief illness. Nikki was a speaker at our October 2017 Breakfast, a passionate advocate for equality in transportation accessibility and availability, and her ability to energize people was remarkable.
