WTS-Boston September Luncheon

11:30 AM - 01:15 PM Eastern Standard Time

Come meet Massport's Director of Strategic & Business Planning to learn about strategic and development initiatives at Massport.

On Sep. 8, 2016 Betty Desrosiers, Director of Strategic and Business Planning at Massport, will discuss strategic and development initiatives underway at Massport, that will strengthen the economic engine of our transportation and real estate businesses while reducing our environmental footprint. She is currently leading the implementation of a comprehensive strategic planning initiative designed to strengthen the long term competitive position of critical transportation facilities.
Ms. Desrosiers has been employed by the Massachusetts Port Authority since 1992.  During her tenure, Ms. Desrosiers has held various positions beginning as its Manager of the Noise Abatement Office.  She has directed the environmental and community planning effort for the Logan Modernization Program; directed the planning and environmental permitting for a new runway and other airfield improvements; and directed airline route development efforts.  Ms. Desrosiers has spearheaded many initiatives to secure government, community and business support for Massport’s aviation businesses.
During an aircraft emergency, Ms. Desrosiers also serves as the Director of Massport’s Family Assistance Center whose mission is to provide compassionate care, comfort, and information to the families of aircraft disaster victims.  She established and directed Massport’s Family Assistance Center during the events of September 11, 2001.
Prior to her employment at the Massachusetts Port Authority, Ms. Desrosiers worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Aeronautics Commission and the City of Cambridge as its Director of Neighborhood Planning.
