Two new artists have been invited to participate as finalists in the WTS Boston Public Art Project. Joining finalists Beth Galston of Massachusetts and Shane Allbritton and Norman Lee of Texas are Ellen Harvey of Brooklyn, New York and collaborators Karen Stein of Boston and Thirada Raungpaka of Thailand.

All four teams have developed concepts for a new public art piece in Boston’s South Station showcasing women’s contributions to the transportation industry through the theme “Women in Movement.”

All four artists will present their concepts to the public on November 5, 2015 in a meeting held at the Green Line Extension Office in Boston. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the design concepts first and support your fellow WTS members in advancing the WTS mission.

After the concepts are presented, there will be the opportunity for additional public review and comment on the public art website.

This final public presentation will mark the end of the competition. The winning artist will be selected the end of November by a WTS-led selection committee.
