WTS-Boston May Luncheon Seminar

11:30 AM - 01:15 PM Eastern Standard Time

WTS-Boston will host a luncheon seminar featuring Jen Slesinger from the MassDOT Office of Transportation Planning

On Thursday May 24th, WTS-Boston will host Jen Slesinger from the MassDOT Office of Transportation Planning. Jen will speak about Focus 40, the 2040 Investment Plan for the MBTA. She will focus on the 25-year MBTA strategic plan to meet the needs of the region in the year 2040.
As a senior planner in MassDOT’s Office of Transportation Planning, Jen Slesinger is currently serving as the project manager for Focus40, the long range capital plan for the MBTA. This plan is taking a new approach to long-range planning for the MBTA, continuing the shift away from project lists to a more comprehensive and adaptable framework for planning.
In her role in MassDOT, she has also served as project manager for the 2016 Everett Transit Action Plan, which resulted in the City of Everett instituting the first bus lane in the region outside of the Silver Line. She was also the MassDOT staff to the legislatively created Project Selection Advisory Council, which developed the criteria currently being used for prioritizing projects for the MassDOT/MBTA Capital Investment Plan (CIP).
Before joining MassDOT, Jen worked as consultant at ICF International in their Housing and Community Development practice.
