Transportation YOU is a hands-on, interactive, mentoring program that offers young girls ages 13-18 an introduction to a wide variety of transportation careers. Through the program, chapters work to make a difference in the lives of young girls by offering programs and activities that will spark their interest in all modes of transportation and encourage them to take courses in math, science, and technology, which are the stepping stones to exciting careers that can change the face of the transportation industry.

The Boston Chapter’s Outreach Committee participates in, develops and supports a year-long program of STEM events for girls in grades K-12. The goal is to use the amazing network of WTS-Boston members to aid in educating girls and young women about the collegiate and career opportunities available to them in STEM, particularly transportation, fields. The many students who participate in these activities during their primary school years will even have an opportunity to apply to participate in national WTS Transportation YOU events.
