The Portland WTS Chapter's Mission is to promote the professional development, education and career advancement of women in the transportation industry. To achieve this, we provide programs, services and other activities that enable WTS members to personally affect the future of transportation in Oregon.
The Chapter offers monthly luncheons where individuals or panels speak on a variety of transportation-related topics, as well as occasional members-only events. The Chapter also hosts a spring awards and scholarship event as well as a winter holiday celebration featuring the WTS Portland Project of the Year. Professional development is also a critical component to the work of the Chapter. The Chapter runs a mentorship program that matches emerging professionals with those who have worked longer in the transportation field and offers AICP credit for a number of events.
