History

The Philadelphia Chapter of WTS was formed by twelve women on June 21, 1979, who worked for firms in Center City Philadelphia. It grew steadily and the value of its programs to all professionals was recognized quickly.

With over 100 women and men as current members, the Philadelphia Chapter represents consulting firms, railroads, transit authorities, ports, equipment suppliers, motor carriers, paratransit and specialized transportation providers, and public and quasi-public agencies. The chapter reaches beyond the City limits and across state lines to include members in numerous Delaware Valley locations.
