WTS-Boston is pleased to provide several Scholarships to students.

The 2011 Boston Chapter Scholarship Program application period will begin in fall 2010.
Jacquelyn R. Smith/Sharon D. Banks Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship
The minimum criteria for selection are as follows:
- Open to women
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a transportation-related field, such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics
- Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field
The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation goals, academic record and transportation-related activities or job skills. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
The Boston Chapter Jacquelyn R. Smith undergraduate scholarship is $4,000. The recipient is then forwarded to WTS International for consideration for the Sharon D. Banks Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship in the amount of $3,000.

Molitoris Leadership Scholarship for Undergraduates
The minimum criteria for selection are as follows:
- Open to women
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a transportation-related field, such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics
- Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field
- Applicants for the Molitoris Leadership Scholarship are asked to specifically address the issue of leadership on their personal statement.
The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation goals, academic record and transportation-related activities or job skills. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
Candidates are forwarded to WTS International for consideration for the Molitoris Leadership Undergraduate Scholarship in the amount of $3,000, through their local WTS Chapters.

Ann Hershfang/Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship
The minimum criteria for selection are as follows:
- Open to women
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in a transportation-related field, such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics
- Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field
The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation involvement and goals, job skills and academic record. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
The Boston Chapter Ann Hershfang Graduate Scholarship is $4,000. The recipient is then forwarded to WTS International for consideration for the Helene M. Overly Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship in the amount of $6,000.

Elaine Dezenski/President's Legacy Scholarship for Graduates
The minimum criteria for selection are as follows:
- Open to women
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in a transportation-related field, such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics
- Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field
- Demonstrated interest in addressing global transportation issues
The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation involvement and goals, job skills and academic record. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
Candidates are forwarded to WTS International for consideration for the Elaine Dezenski/President’s Legacy Graduate Scholarship in the amount of $3,000, through their local WTS Chapters

Timing of scholarships
Scholarship applications are solicited each fall, with applications due in October or November. Local scholarship winners are announced in January and receive recognition at the June Scholarships & Awards Dinner. WTS International scholarship winners are announced in February and receive recognition at the Annual Conference in May.
